During te disownment of of the presence of Russians by the Chinese Republic, she escaped from Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang, China’s northernmost province, and took refuge in Japan. She is now living in the the Kanda-Surugadai residence owned by Kimiyasu who has taken her in.
