Belfast

Belfast is, technically, a Town-class cruiser. However, there were three sub-classes; Southampton, Gloucester, and Edinburgh. Belfast participated in many important campaigns across WWII. Her most notable was the Battle of North Cape. Belfast and her cruiser squadron was sent to escort a convoy in the Arctic. In the night she encountered the battleship KMS Scharnhorst. Her squadron was able to protect the convoy and force the Scarnhorst to turn away. However, she wasn't done there. Belfast proceeded to track the battleship through radar and lead her right into the HMS Duke of York and her escorts. Scharnhorst did not survive the encounter.
