Caerula Sanguis (Latin for "blue blood"), is the last surviving Type-V mutant, a human who was infected by a retrovirus known as the V-virus and gained vampire-like characteristics such as eternal youth. She was originally born as Vilma Fachiri (ヴィルマ・ファキーリ Vu~iruma Fakīri?) and adopted several aliases during her long life. As a result of abilities that Caerula developed as a Type-V mutant, she is a formidable martial artist able to fully contend with cyborg opponents such as Alita, even though she is still fully flesh and blood.
