Chane Laforet

Chané Laforet (シャーネ・ラフォレット) is the daughter of immortal alchemists Huey Laforet and Renee Paramedes Branvillier. Due to Huey's brainwashing, Chané is unconditionally devoted to him almost to the point of fanaticism and believes that he is the only person to ever love her. At a young age, Chané was given the secrets of immortality by her father on the condition that she cannot tell anyone or use it for herself. Huey had also offered to grant Chané a wish in exchange for keeping his secret, for which she had chosen to lose her voice so that she would never betray him. Despite being mute, Chané can still communicate telepathically with Huey. Although Chané has a slender and delicate appearance, she is one of the most deathly assassins in the series and wields a knife as her main weapon. She eventually meets and falls in love with Claire Stanfield who is also a legendary freelance assassin known as the "Rail Tracer".
