Eurasian Lynx

Ranging across wide environments spanning Eurasia is the Eurasian Lynx, the largest among the lynx species. Extirpated from West Europe, the Eurasian Lynx now roams habits such as boreal and montante forests, as well as forest-steppes. In the more extreme mountainous regions, the Eurasian Lynx will likely descend to the lowlands in search of more abundant prey, as well as to escape some of the harsher mountain climates. With males weighing up to a maximum of 30 kilograms and females reaching a maximum of 21 kg, the Eurasian Lynx compensates for its rather large weight with large webbed paws that evenly distribute its weight, allowing it to navigate snowdrifts more easily. Unlike most other cats, the Eurasian has a rather short and stubby tail, notable for its dark black tip. Secretive, the Eurasian does not often leave obvious tracks, but it does make noises which include : hisses, growls, mewls, purrs, with mating calls being significantly louder.
