Holly is a friendly, bright, and famous former top breeder who got her start as a peasant from the remnant of the Tochikan clan. Holly was directly involved in helping save Pangaea from Moo's invasion, and has worked her way up through the ranks of FIMBA to become world-famous. She cares deeply for monsters, and is of course loved by everyone. Holly's young life is documented in the anime series. Not long after her 14th birthday, Holly's village is destroyed by Master Moo's army. She then sets out on a quest with Suezo to find the location of the ancient monster called the Phoenix, using a magic stone given to her by her grandfather to locate new Mystery Discs that contain monsters. Though she denies it at first, she learns that her father has become a vessel for the soul of the evil Moo. From then on she determines not only to restore peace to Pangaea, but also to save her father from the very monster he has become. In the first episode she meets Genki, a young boy who came from the "real world" by accident when he was sucked into a video game by a time warp. They become best friends and allies, and although many of the fans interperate Genki's and Holly's relationship as a romantic one, though there is little evidence in the series to support this.
