Jeanne is a major protagonist of Jun Mochizuki's The Case Study of Vanitas. She is the Chevalier of Lucius Oriflamme, serving as his bodyguard, and Lord Ruthven's Bourreau. Described as the one who wields the Crimson Gauntlet, “Carpe Diem“, a kin slayer who was given the name of a saint, the “Hellfire Witch“, Jeanne. Jeanne is fiercely protective of Luca and gives off an air of rigidity and power while conducting her duty as his chevalier; however, she is prone to frantic outbursts, especially in the presence of Vanitas, whom she dislikes. Jeanne’s greatest fear is hurting Luca. Her age is unknown, but it is known that she is an adult.
