It was revealed in Starlight Stage that Kumiko became an idol so that she could stand out. She first tried joining the model department of the agency, but she wasn't accepted. She was told that there were a lot of beautiful girls like her, which upset her as she considers herself unique. After seeing an audition in the idol department, she decided to become an idol; confident that she could stand out as an idol. In the tie in Cinderella Girls Theater skits, Kumiko has a severe crush on the Producer. Her face turns red when she thinks about him or the topic of love. She is good at darts, but has to hide her ability due to her unflattering stance. When the Producer is around, she forces an elegant stance but loses the concentration to hit the dart board. Kumiko is friends with Ayuna Hamakawa and Chinami Komuro. She participated in a Dream Match event with Hajime Fujiwara, Kiyora Yanagi, and Aoi Shuto, where she attempted to fish but found she couldn’t handle worms. She thinks Aoi looks mature in traditional garb and likes the younger girl’s cooking. Kumiko teases Chizuru Matsuo into writing embarrassing notes for her calligraphy performance and is impressed by Yuu Ohta’s chocolate stature of Akky. Kumiko is a surprisingly good ketchup artist.
