Nao Kamiya

A junior in high school, Nao is a secret anime otaku who became an idol to become comfortable with being feminine. Described as a tsundere, Nao struggles with expressing herself, getting easily flustered and defensive. Though she wishes to express more girly qualities, she frequently denies the possibility that she could ever be considered cute and believed becoming an idol was impossible. Through the support of her friends and fellow idols, she decided to keep pushing herself forward in her idol career and towards her goals. Knowing them since middle school, Nao is best friends with Rin, and Karen. Much to her chagrin, she ends up being playfully teased by the two constantly. Though teased, the three share a close bond, and she constantly worries about Karen's well being due to her frail body and past with illness. In the Starlight Stage Orgel no Kobako event communication, Nao reveals that her more boyish wardrobe is in part due to her family members buying her boyish clothes instead of cute ones, that is why she is not very confident in wearing cuter clothes.
