Sakura Akino

秋野 桜

Sakura is a main character in ORESUKI and is in love with Taiyo Oga. She is a third year High School student and also the Student Council President. Sakura is a mature-bodied young woman who is known throughout the school for her beauty. She has long, light-purple hair with two small flower-shaped hairclips by her ears. Sakura is hardworking and proper. She is very organized and is always on time, if not early, to everything. She always carries her notebook, which she writes in frequently to make notes and plans. Sakura's whole demeanor changes when she is nervous, especially around her crush, Taiyo Oga. When she gets nervous, she panics when speaking, which leads to her saying the wrong thing, sometimes even talking like a cat-girl unintentionally. She has something of a coping mechanism to suppress her panic when speaking, where she talks like an Edo-era samurai.
