She is originally an illustrator who also did the character design and illustration for Oozora Subaru of hololive. Her Twitter account was opened on 28 August 2009. In 2018, she began becoming a VTuber. Her YouTube channel was created on 16 September. She would collaborate with other VTubers on their videos and streams although she did not start her activities on her channel until her introduction stream which was live on 18 May 2019. She is often nicknamed "Ui-Mama" by VTubers whos models shes designed.
