Shinji Sekiguchiis a male third-grade character. Sekiguchi is one of the classes' most confident and noisy students, prominent in earlier episodes especially for giving critical opinions and pointing out the attitudes of others in some class discussions. He may seem to fit the bully archetype, as he enjoys mocking others for his amusement, and play-fighting amongst his group of friends. However there are times where Sekiguchi been considered of great help to others, one instance being when he taught Maruko how to ride a bike for the first time.
