Ulgar, along with Yun-Hua, is generally withdrawn and not very outgoing. In contrast with her, however, he becomes angry when he feels cornered. When the journey begins, he generally adheres to a philosophy of pulling one's own weight and refuses to help the others with chores or activities he deems unimportant to himself, though he slowly abandons this practice as the trip nears its end. Ulgar has a light complexion which contrasts with his black hair, which covers his right eye. He also wears a grey beanie. His crust suit, made by Falken, is mostly black and grey with red accents, making it a rarity among crust suits, which usually avoid the use of dark colors.
