Xiao, Yaksha name "Alatus," is an adeptus and the only remaining member of the Five Yakshas dispatched by Morax to subdue the demonic spirits that plagued Liyue. He currently resides in Wangshu Inn, where he secluded himself from crowds and human interactions. Xiao was available as a playable character during the 2nd Closed Beta Test. He is to be released in Version 1.3. Xiao has medium-length black hair with teal undertones, pale skin, and amber eyes. He has green markings/tattoos around his right arm. Xiao wears a white sleeveless shirt with a black collar, dark purple pants, and dark purple boots. He wears black and dark turquoise gloves with gold decals and a necklace. Around his left arm, Xiao wears a white and gold sleeve with a red lining. He notably carries an Anemo vision on his left glove. Xiao is shown to be quite polite, reserved, logical and determined, albeit curt and straight to the point. He takes his duties seriously; whereas the Moon Carver, Mountain Shaper and Cloud Retainer were inclined to abandon their duty to the people of Liyue following Rex Lapis' death, Xiao prioritizes his calling, despite his dislike of the mortal world. The owners of Wangshu Inn, Verr Goldet and Huai'an, note that Xiao is rarely in a good mood, with the former realizing that she has yet to see him smile once. He prefers being alone, appreciating peace and quiet.
